Haughton-le-Skerne Local History Society is holding a Memories Day in the Methodist Chapel on the village green on Saturday between 10am and 4pm. The society’s collection of books, postcards, pictures and ephemera will be on display, and people are encouraged to bring along their own pictures for possible inclusion in a book. There will be two talks, Life in the Blue Hall and Treacle Sold From a Jar by Carol Atkinson at 11am, and The History of Garmondsway House at 1pm by Pam Walker.
Admission is [pounds]2 to include refreshments.
